About a month ago my husband spotted two eagles in a tree along the Des Moines River and then I noticed a nest nearby, but they were too far away to get good pictures. I've been waiting for warmer weather so I could walk along the river bank and try to get pictures. This is from across the river and the wind was blowing 25 mph (according to TV, seemed more than that to me)... it knocked my tripod over if I didn't hold on to it. Maybe I can still get better pictures, but not today, it is back to 23 degrees.
Oh wow! How neat is that, to have spied an eagle nest and then to be able to see them setting there. Looking forward to more photos as this saga develops.

It will be interesting to see if you can get photos as the birds get larger.
Great find.
