The internet says they process 250,000 bushels of corn per day here at the Cargill Corn Milling plant 12 miles from where I live. They make corn syrup, sweetners, corn oil, ethanol etc. I think it looks like air pollution, but the articles on the internet say that they maintain strict environmental safety standards.
Hmmmmm.....that's a lot of smoke, and you know what they say, where there is smoke there is fire!! I hope the internet is correct about the strict safety standards, and that those apply to environmental issues as well. In the meantime, they make a very interesting and dramatic photo!
Beautiful, well done, photo-journaled picture... Now if we'd just eat the stuff off the cob or pop it, we might not have to second-guess what's going on...
