@Weezilou I mixed walnuts in peanut butter earlier in the morning and put that out, but it went fast. There were 4 squirrels here today, but there is one that chases the others off. When the winds picked up to about 30 mph today and I saw this poor thing with its tail being blown over its head, I had to take a picture. These squirrels seem to love sunflower seeds, so I put them in feeders and on the ground too. Up until now, they had been burying all peanuts and nuts I put out.
@lynnz I only just discovered Frosty loves walnuts, too! You're a good person, Lynn, to look after them so well! Your comment proves that, "All Squirrels Are Cut From the Same Cloth"! Yes, our pots & planters are full of buried peanuts! And two, they can pile through a dish of sunflower seeds like there's no tomorrow! I DO see the practicality in the latter! Enjoy them...they're such fun!
