@susale Yes, we had terrible storms a few hours later. All across Iowa there were violent thunderstorms, hail, 100 mph winds and a few tornadoes. No real bad damage here that I know of. I'll have to see if my tree is OK tomorrow!
Reading your note just above, what a shocker that would be if the weather took out your tree project! Your project, by the way, could be as much about the weather as this tree!
@Weezilou Thanks for your supportive comments always, Louise. It has turned out that my project is about the weather. There hasn't been much change in the tree yet and I soon realized if I go with the sky and light at different times of day, I capture the colors I love so much! Today I was looking closely at the tree, wondering if it is dead!
@lynnz OMG Lynn! How ironic would THAT be?!!! Sad...but funny at the same time because of the month-long project! Keep bringing us the weather! I like the nuanced shift it brings to this project! AND, unlike out here where it's pretty typically one blue day after another, you've GOT weather to pick from! Believe me, it's one of the things I really like when we're in Nova Scotia!
Such a strong March feel to this shot. I love winter tree shots because we see the basic form and structure. I like all your March tree pics so I look forward to seeing how they develop.
