Well back home now, eventually. Travelled by train, left Aviemore in a blizzard, Glasgow dry as a bone, not a flake in sight. Got to Preston, only 20 minutes from my stop, started to put magazine away and 80 minutes later still sat in Preston!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently we needed a new driver and train manager, who were travelling up from London and their train was seriously delayed in the Midlands.
The Virgin staff did not know how long we were going to be there for, and just wanted to go home themselves. They handed out free tea and coffee but free beer or wine would have gone down better. Been very busy today sorting out photos so todays shot is everyones favourite a Robin (Erithacus rubecula) taken in the garden.
