CUTE COOTS by markp

CUTE COOTS

Tradition has it that Swallows are back at their breeding sites for St.Georges day, this year they have only just made it, I saw my first today !
Regular viewers may remember A BUM SHOT from three weeks ago with the crazy giant killer coot, scared of no one, guarding his nest. Back there again today and the eggs have hatched. Only a day or two old the chicks are still in the nest, about 10 or so, got some nice shots, including both parents feeding chicks, but liked this one best.

Splendid shot! Alas there will soon be only one chick as Coots are well known for slowly killing off their young until only the strongest remains.
