Todays three posts are a quick lesson in the anatomy of spiders. I am not sure what species this one is, I found him hiding in the garden.
Spiders have two main body parts, ( tagmata), a combined head and thorax called a prosoma, and the abdomen. These are joined by a very narrow waist called the pedicel. They also have eight legs.
