The time on this camera is still set on GMT and not BST ! So this is 10.15 pm, shortly before I had to go and check in for the overnight ferry to Lerwick on Shetland. It sails from Kirkwall at 23.00 and arrives at 07.30 !
The ship on the right is one of the Orkney Ferries, inter island boats. The ship I was bound for is much larger.
what a stunning evening. I like how the lie of the land and the light on the water make leading lines towards the ship. Gives a very special touch to this image.
