Cycling along a very quiet lane I spotted this Golden Winged Dragonfly resting in the road. I rescued it, a quick photoshoot and then placed in a bush. Looking at its rather battered wings though, I think its days are numbered.
@gardencat Thanks Joanne, it not my hand, it's Willows, so a bit smaller. However I believe that the female Golden Winged Dragonfly is the longest British dragonfly.
