We have all seen those boring warning signs, black on bright yellow.
DANGER ! KEEP OUT.
But what danger ? Why do we need to keep out ?
Surely if we knew just what the danger was we could make up our own minds as whether to proceed further, forewarned is forearmed and all that.
So finding this very informative sign was very good, I think it shows the way to go with warning signs, if you ignore the spelling mistake.
Needless to say, I proceeded to see what was ahead. As they said, it was very dangerous if you were going to be silly but knowing the hazards and watching what you were doing it was perfectly safe.
One thing the sign was not quite right about was the fragile fence. It was supposed to keep you away from the edges of the very deep quarry workings, however it had been there that long, that all that was left was rows of rotting wooden posts, the wires preventing you walking between the posts long since rusted away.
