This is the start of the game, and the same procedure is used after a goal. Two players stand in the centre circle, with their sticks, camen, waving above their heads. The referee approaches close, then throws the ball about 12 foot into the air above the players, and then rapidly runs backwards, partly I think to avoid being hit by wildly waving camen.
