Camouflaged... almost. by mccarth1

Camouflaged... almost.

Except for the bright orange beak. Dozens of geese and ducks were resting on the frozen river in Essex (CT) today. This one seemed untroubled by my presence.
What a beautiful goose in the snow.......................shouldn't they be further south, they look strange white on white?

OMG - you and I were on the same page today! I was in Haddam on the river across for The Good Speed Opera House. I'm amazed we have yet to cross paths! This is a beautiful capture, I love that orange beak although the eyes seem to be watching you.

I like the creamy white of the goose's contrasted against the cold blue/white of the snow.

Difficult shot done very well. I have a hard time with white on white. Love that bright orange beak.

I've just checked your file info to see what your settings were for this picture as there's such good contrast between the white goose and the snow she's on, as well as excellent detail in the snow around her. Well done! She looks quite elegant resting there in the snow. Love those blue eyes.

I do believe he's posing for you! A comer hither look with his head over his shoulder!!! Awesome capture and I sure would think I could find a warmer place to sit down than on the ice and snow...maybe a piece of wood or log or a bench some where!! LOL Love the detail and lighting! FAV!
