Even though it was overcast, it wasn't raining and so I went out to the land formerly owned by my father and uncle. Inspired by the current artist challenge (Charlie Waite) I planned to take a short walk and try to get a few pictures for the challenge, even though I knew I could never match Waite's amazing landscapes. I set a timer for 20 minutes and resolved to turn back around and walk back when it went off. Well, I did...except I headed "back" the completely wrong direction. By the time I figured out where I was, I had a good deal of walking to get back to my car -- and had stupidly left the cell phone in the car. Whew! Good thing I didn't fall and break a leg. I wish I had had more time. There were better landscape photo opportunities where I had gone by mistake. But no time to stop and do much photography. Ah, well. Another time! This is one of the first shots I took. I switched to the iPod because the camera has gotten a lot of dust inside the attached zoom lens and in lots of shots there is an area that's a bit grayed and less sharp.
