On Saturday afternoon we buried Nelo (Dan’s cat). The wooden marker was his idea and creation. The stones serve to protect against any critters trying to dig her up. Local guidelines say to have two or three feet of dirt on top of them for that reason, but there’s no way we were going to dig that deep. There’s about one foot and a small pile of stones over our other two cats out there and that’s been good enough.
