I like this one Melissa. It's so you! Bright colours, simple composition (which i like) and shiny shinyness. I can see a bit of shadow cast from the pieces (I cannot for the life of me remember what those are called) and I'd like it if they were a bit more emphasized, but other than that, very Melissa'esque:)
@pwallis Shiny shinyness? I love it! What what is called, the technical name for a shadow or the game pieces? I realized after uploading that I should have put the pieces on the floor and taken the photo. I only seem to think of angles that are at my level. Thanks for the vote of confidence! Veery shiny and very colorful. I like ! How about putting just one piece on the table and shoot it just above piece's level (~along the table). Light it from the side with a lamp to create a long shadow and include that in the pic. Could look cool. Or not.

Have you ever used Picnik's "gooify" effect? I tried using it on this photo to bring the first and last pieces on the bottom into more of a smile shape, but it just made them look fatter.
