Went to a local nature preserve today in hopes of seeing some different birds. My favorite was this little guy, an Eastern Screech owl. Unfortunately, he has some sort of disorder that has made him legally blind. Still a very pretty bird. I think his name was Oliver, but I had a hard time concentrating on the speech about him because I was trying to resist the urge to pet him.
Editing consisted of a small crop in Photoshop Elements 12. Also, I reset my camera to factory settings yesterday and that seems to have helped with the focus issues. Thoughts on focus?
@mej2011 well even though I'm not a bird person, that guy is kinda cute :) The focus is ok I think, but there is a bit of camera shake. Your shutter speed is 1/15, which is pretty slow. Higher ISO would allow faster shutter speed, but the grain increases. Or use largest aperture = smallest f-value your camera allows.

I just looked through all 95 photos from yesterday. I *THINK* (fingers crossed) that I have some better focused ones of this guy, so you might see him again.

Would you mind looking at the focus on this one?
Thanks so much!
Or get the bird to NOT move. :) Thanks! Again, looked good in my camera but when I saw it on the computer screen it loked a little blurry.
He seems happy. Still is able to fly a bit and eats well.
Thanks! He decided to try and fly away a few times, thus the blur.
