Four and twenty blackbirds... by mittens

Four and twenty blackbirds...

baked in a pie. HeeHee (not really). That Nursery Rhyme just popped into my head when I was taking the picture. There were a ton of blackbirds in my yard this morning. This is only a small portion of them. I think they were getting ready to fly south.
A great capture and what a novel title !!

I wonder of they were looking for bugs under the leaves? Did you make any pies?

@skipt07 LOL Skip. When I took this shot, that song came right to my mind. Fortunately for them I didn't make any pies. I do think they were looking for bugs in the grass.

wonderful capture!

@claireuk Thank you, Claire. Actually, my kitties were oblivious to the birds outside. They were both curled up sleeping at the time. They would have been impressed if they saw the birds. LOL
November 4th, 2014
@cashew Thank you Kathy. Humm, I didn't even notice if the birds were noisy or not. I took the shot through a closed window since I didn't want to scare them.

A great capture Marilyn, we here call them Crows.

@dannydavies Thank you Danny. We have crows here, too, but they are bigger than these blackbirds.
