My husband and I stumbled upon this house on a recent ride and thought it was interesting looking and amazed it was still standing. Even though it is crooked, we didn't notice any shift in the mortar between the bricks. I wonder what its story is.
Thank for your very encouraging comments and favs. The mean so much to me.
I really is an interesting old house. Almost seems like it was build that way since the mortar hasn't cracked or shifted, but, why would they build it that way. Nice find a capture.
Lovely old house, great pov and texture. I saw it at first look as being "wavy", which discombobulated me for a second. Very well seen and captured, fav.
Incredible --at first I thought it was my eyesight as no alcohol was consumed today , but after a few blinks , the image remained the same -- perhaps it was a drunkard builder !! or may be a LARGE apprentice piece !! lol !! It has stood the test of time and still looks good in it's quirkiness -- A great find and well captured !
Before I read your caption I thought this house looks crooked. I wonder what it feels like when being inside. there is a house where we drive by often, it looks like it's sliding away to one side. Hans says it's perfectly level - it's just how the land lies. I might take a photo of it again, only the road where it's on is under construction already for the longest time. but one day I will.
@byrdlip We didn't see any signs of life at this house although there were houses on both sides of it and the one house right next to it had a car in the driveway. I don't know if anyone lives in this house.
How interesting, what a great find. The front looks as though it has been rendered, because it is different to the brickwork on the side of the house and also the chimney on the left. I wonder what the story is. Got to be a fav for being so different.
I love the feel of motion when you look at this!! I don't think I would want to be out drinking and come home and look at this!! LOL I would have said maybe the inside floor had buckled, but like you said there is no proof of it in the motar around the bricks. Think I would have had to investigate!! FAV!
I bet there is an interesting story behind those doors!!
fav
Could be anywhere in an english village :)
