A foggy night at a glamping resort in the mountains. Whereas I could barely hide from that light to capture the stars in some of the nights, on that particular foggy night it was brilliantly placed behind that tree.
@shutterbug49 that is not the sun. it is a blight bulb placed there to light the way. and it was awful when i tried to do some star shooting, as I had to find a place to hide from it.
Lovely shot - but I understand how frustrating this can be. Here, it worked out for this shot. I hope you were able to get your night sky and star shots as well.
@elatedpixie thank you. Indeed, this worked out unexpectedly (i didn't even want to get out of the tent at that time :) )
I did get a couple of shots and now i have to figure out how to process them properly. My first time with night photography.
@monikozi I know I go on about dark mode, but if you cycle through both modes you will see that in the dark mode you can see the subtle detail in the shadows.
@mikelskoog i eill keep that in mind and check other photos as well. I noticed that you write that your photos are best viewed in dark mode. And I do look at them like that and indeed they look better. But my uneducated eye can not tell why.
It is the same with this photo. I can see it looks better, but I could not figure out why and what makes it look better.

I haven't noticed how it looks on dark background. Thanks for pointing it out.
