It was sunset. The sight was much lighter. I tried in-camera modes, adjusting exposure compensation, changing ISO, but none of the 20 or so shots depicted the light as I think I saw it. So, I settled to show this one. I just love the light on that tree trunk.
Looks like it was a Stunning golden hour moni. Remember your camera is not as clever as your eye-it will flatten everything!! Try @casablanca settings and I tend to do + 1 or 1.5 on E/V compensation.

The thing is that all the shots turned out more golden and vibrant than the sight really was. I am not complaining about the result, because that light was wonderful. I am just whining about the difference between what the eye sees and what the sensor sees.
