@ludwigsdiana Obviously, the top half is the original look of the facade. Which I like so much more than what's been done on the lower half. Taken individually, the lower part is horrible. But somehow, thus combined, they somehow work. What actually captured my attention is the way they tried to repeat the structure of the window frames.
You have found the item well. Building regulations may have required the owner of the ground floor to conform to the original appearance. The color of the building can be argued about.
@borof That orange is horrible. My guess is that they tried to mimic the original orange that can be seen as an ornament around the top window and on the corner, also at the top. Only that's more towards the ochre or brown.
