Six years ago today, Dad bought me Little Miss Stevie. Back then, she was a boy bird and I had picked out 'the sleepy one' who turned himself into a girl and became one of the most adoring little female birds I've ever owned.
She got a cuteness about her and character that nobody's known. She's been sick a few times and survived me being her nurse (how that happened I don't know) and yet, she trusts me with everything from her food to her toenails.
So, whether she's checking herself out in the reflection my camera lens, giving me that filthy look after a bath, flirting with the orange light next to lens or hurting from a careless vet check (and yes, her foot is getting better little by little as it gets stronger by the day), she's been a good little bird to me; and knows that I'd never hurt her... and loves getting cuddles from me; and drinking my ginger drink too. :)
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
Nice collage too!
Congratulations Stevie on a great owner :)
