Over the 9 years I've lived here, I've made some great friends - unfortunately, a lot of them move on and I lose touch with them. In recent years, I've kept in touch with a couple who moved to Thorneside and we're very close friends.
In the last week or so, a great friend of mine - Ruth Griffin - and her twin boys - Michael and Thomas - have moved to Greenslopes. Today, I walked past her place to find she was there flying solo on the clean-up duty. So, I offered to help around the place with vacuuming and washing the floors a little. Then, we had a break and a cuppa at my place with some beautiful cake that Mum gave me and I gave her some Halloween Lollies for the boys; when she spotted a bag of lollies on their own and nabbed them for herself too (for the big sugar rush to keep herself going). After the break, we came back and found the place looked pretty good after her first 4 hours of cleaning up. We did a little more for an hour and half and then she decided - at around 1:30pm - it was time to go and she'd come back tomorrow to finish up the details of the place. It's always a bit sad to see a friend go from a unit complex - especially when you find a good one. But it's great when they do move onto better places and and keep in touch as well. I am going to miss her banter and her two boys... they were hilarious to be around!

I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
