Coming Home

Yesterday, there was a upsetting time for a family where their youngest fell 9ft from a tree near the river and broke her arm in 2 places. It was awful. She was rushed off to Mullumbimby Hospital and had a slab put on her arm because it was going to swell more overnight and they had her on medications to help with the pain.
Today, they were off early to take her to the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane. She had other injuries (13 stitches under her chin and a sprained ankle) and so she had to be taken home straight away.
Last night, we were all concerned for her and quietly hoped she was okay; as it could have been worse. Well, to help take our minds off our worries, we played some games with friends along the river. I was at a caravan where we played 'Logo'.. this was a good game about common logos we see in advertising everyday and how they affect us... very cool.

But today, I was off! How fortunate I had packed the night before! I spent time with my folks before my bus arrived and I was forced to sit on the hot side of the bus... but never mind. It was a good trip up to Brisbane. I was next to a non-smoker who didn't talk all the time (actually, he snoozed for a good part of the journey) and he asked me about how to get to Ipswich as it was his first time to Brisbane.

Aunty Helen met me at the bus and she dropped me home.

And here I am. All caught up with the news, photos and everything. :D
Wow, what an experience that all must have been. Hopefully the young one will be fine, and all heals well. Life shodl be getting back to normal real soon

@digitalrn @melissapike thank you both for your healing thoughts. She's only 8 years old and has a birthday on 20th, January. Her parents planned a slumber party on the previous Friday night; which they think they'll have to postpone... they're not sure.
