In my garden, I have a favourite plant - well there's a few - but this one is my favourite one. Mum gave it to me to kick off my garden. At first, it didn't do anything for a few years, then I found out it had a Green Ants' nest in the root system... once I got rid of it, and the Queen, and repotted it, it was well on its way to becoming a lovely addition to my garden.
It's a shade plant, put out long spindles for flowers in Summer and the sun burns holes in its leaves... but it's just lovely otherwise.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
Your plant looks very healthy. would it produce these long spindles in the summer if it is kept in a shady spot? I have a lot of shade in some of my flower beds and are always looking for plants which will survive and strive without sun.
@bruni The sun does get to it through the fence in Summer, but I can't help that... however, this is the time of year it's the happiest... and then in Summer, the spindles come out and it looks just lovely. :)
