I took this shot of creamy blue hydrangea flowers in a conservatory. Because it simply isn't possible for hydrangea to grow naturally or survive in our tropical climate. (Just like it isn't possible for me to survive without coffee.)
Beautiful blue . . and so fragile looking. I have heard that the color of hydrangeas depend on the soil . . acid content, etc. Your photo of it is wonderful, Livia.

Did you know the blue colour isn`t natural . They are white or pink ,but if you put some iron or Aluin in the ground they turns into bleu

i love hydrangea and have tried to grow it unsuccessfully several times. but it thives In the Big Island of Hawaii and also on areas of Kauai. Lovely capture
I grew up in a world where I grew Hydrangeas like this, but I too now live in a tropical world where Hydrangeas are now a flower of the past or of return trips back home.
