Tuna pastry at its best. Flaky and soft, and a delight to sink your teeth into. I usually eat bread for breakfast but pastry is always a nice change.
The best breakfast I've ever had was in Arles, Provence (southern France) way back in the summer of 1993. Freshly baked, warm baguette and croissant with delicious homemade jam and a bowl-sized cup of hot coffee every day. I'm not a morning person. But when I was in Arles, I practically jumped out of bed every morning with a big silly grin knowing that a fabulous breakfast was waiting for me!
This pastry looks tempting, no doubt due to enticing photography and colors. My favourite breakfasts, since I visited New Mexico earlier this year, are huevos rancheros with runny eggs poached in salsa or chipotle flavored scramble eggs and salsa. Then again, it is hard to go past soft boiled eggs and fingers of toast. Always have fresh ground "long black" espresso.
YUM!! Your breakfast looks fantastic. So flaky .. looks like it would melt in your mouth. Fabulous photo of this. My favorite breakfasts were the ones that we had in England when we lived there . . eggs, bacon, toast, and a "cuppa!" Lovely. (I'm not a morning person either). :)
I like this picture. The textures and colors are great. I usually eat a boring bowl of cereal but sometimes ,add my own home grown bananas, if there are any available
I like your close-up perspective, makes this into a cool abstract. (I usually just have cereal but I love to go out for an omelet....or some pancakes! A big cup of coffee, too)
Great colours and textures in your shot :)
My favourite breakfast is vegan chocolate croissants (very hard to come by) or baked beans on toast with hash browns and mushrooms :)
Looks delicious! I agree, there's nothing like a fresh, crunchy, butter croissant! :-) Although it's not my daily breakfast...
Usually I have bread with butter and jam, and that big bowl of coffee with a drop of milk
Stunning - love it. Actually, I am with you. Fresh french bread, light pastry and hot croissant is just wonderful with lashings of butter and buckets of coffee. I am just waiting for my first coronary now!
Ooh, looks like heaven! My mouth is watering. I like to have yoghurt and fruit, 1 piece of toast and coffee for my breakfast most days. But when in France I always have a fresh croissant. The bakery in Rue de la Republic, Beausoleil is SOOOO good!
Oh no, how am I going to cope with the urge now??? Looks mouthwatering! Breakfast? If I have anything, it'll be cereal and freshly ground coffee - served by my husband while I'm getting dressed for work. Lucky me.
You always make me smile, Livia. I do adore a proper French breakfast (in France) just as you described. Otherwise, depends a lot on my mood. Toast from lovely bread with homemede marmalade is great, or if I'm in a heathy mood, an uber-smooth, freshly homemade fruit smoothie, perhaps with a hint of ginger among the fruit
