@cromwell Halloween isn't celebrated here (although it's getting more media coverage because it is being celebrated in the expatriate communities and businesses like pubs and restaurants take Halloween as an opportunity to drum up some excitement) so I don't associate the color orange with Halloween. But I can see how it would for some. 8)
Very nice sea of Orange. Orange is not one of my favorite colors because it is associated with my biggest rival college, University of Florida (I'm a Florida State University Grad). But your photo is very nice! Great capture!
I think they are marigolds, Livia. If so the flowers are edible and are also fantastic companion plants for many vegetables. Most common colour is orange but they come in a variety of diffent shades of orange and also yellow! Fantastic capture anyhow!

I saw a traffic island of these flowers yesterday when I was at the traffic lights. I thought about parking and taking their photo but it was an awkward spot....same flowers, same colour. I'm so glad you got it. Very pretty!
