This is the detail of a vase my Mother in Law gave my husband when he went over to bring her groceries. She is beginning to give away all her items each time we go over. She wont take no for an answer.I think she is divesting herself of material goods. She is 89.

Absolutely exquisite. I really love the lines and the beautiful curves (and detail in the ceramic glaze). Light. Bokeh. Tones. And then add the narrative. Wait and a haiku. Exquisite.
Oh I got teary on this one! My dad does the same thing and I let out an audible gasp when I got to the bottom and read that your mil is 89 as so is my dad! My mom passed away unexpectedly in 2009 and it has been very difficult for him! Beautiful shot!
Beautiful curving lines! Lovely detail shot! My mother keeps trying to give things away--to her housekeeper! So now there's a growing collection of "things" in one room of her house that she never goes into.
