Baby Lady by mzzhope

Baby Lady

This is a Ladybug or Ladybird larva. They eat aphids like their parents do.The preschool children I taught loved this poem:
Ladybugs all dressed in red
Strolling through the flowerbed.
If I were tiny just like you
I'd creep among the flowers too!
~Maria Fleming
Nicely done

Wait, this looks like a "black ladybug" as described by my daughter this week. I didn't believe it was a ladybug, but probably it was!

This is a wonderful macro shot. That's a ladybug? Really? It sure is interesting all the things I learn on 365. :)

Love this - we don't see many of the ladybug larvae where we are now but when we lived in Seattle, there were lots on my roses. They are wonderful for aphid control. Great capture and love the poem.

FAV. Really a ladybug larva? We learn so much on 365. I had no idea they even had a larva stage. Pretty ignorant me about bugs I guess.
