Having Tea with the Pope by mzzhope

Having Tea with the Pope

That's what my 87 year old mother in law with dementia said today when we told her we had to take her to the doctor."I can't because Im having tea with the Pope right now" You have to laugh.
Wonderful capture with great DoF. Very sweet her idea of having tea with the Pope; I would like to meet him ;) One of my grandmothers had dementia and it was amazing to hear her stories. You need to be very patient with her.

It's definitely best to just go with it :) My grandpa used to tell us "make sure someone is home to milk the cows tonight!" and he hadn't had cows in about 20 years.

Lovely photo. Sweet story. My mother has Alzheimer's. I have found that humor is very important to cope with taking care of her.

Wonderful bokeh! Very sorry to hear about the dementia - but it must be interesting hearing what is going through her mind. I'd love to have tea with the Pope!
