I was sat on in my room doing my Bio this afternoon when Dad alled me down, he had the biggest trug of vegetables you have ever seen in your life! All from our garden. In there was some corn on the cob. Most people know, I really, realy love sweetcorn xD Anyway, if you've never had corn on the cob straight from the garden, you should, it's completely different from anything you can buy!
In other news, I applied for yet another job today, I'm not really expecting anything to come out of it though considering how bad my job-getting skills seem to have been so far, but it's worth a shot.
Think I'm going to spend the evening making a cake, watching casualty and maybe doing some art.
I have faith in you for the job and you should have faith in yourself too! In fact, the two best jobs I've ever held (the current one included) were ones I didn't think I had a chance at.
Great focus on this, I really like it. Here, we have corn 'vendors' on the beach road, selling them each night. Apparently they're really good, but I've never tried it from one. Where I grew up though, they're called mielies, so I remember women walking past our house each evening yelling MIELIES, haha. Anyway, AND NOW YOU KNOW :P
There is NOTHING BETTER!! Sweetcorn right in from the fields. Loved it when I lived and now when we visit Mn. We eat it every day!!! Lovely composition on this, Naomi. Good luck with that job.
We got some corn on the cob from our local CSA this year - SO good! I love this close up, it actually took me awhile to figure out what it was, but sooo cool!
LOVE the reminder of how good a fresh ear of corn on the cob can taste! It's a lovely image to imagine your father bringing in an armload of fresh garden vegetables! Enjoy the pleasure before it all shuts down for the season! And *Best Wishes* to you that you might get the job you're looking for!
I love the selective focus on this shot, and the color. I never had sweet corn right out of the field until I moved to Iowa 4 years ago. There is nothing like it!
