I wrote a blog for Blurt. They're paying me to freelance for them until they recruit staff writers. I'm talking to the CEO next week about becoming one of their staff writers (the writing job I've been talking about). They have another job or two going, too, and she did suggest it to me, but I'm not sure the hours would fit with my NHS job, and I'm not sure I'd feel good enough for it. But hopefully I can get the hours to work to be a staff writer because it's a cause I really care about (and the money would help...), and the CEO is someone who really inspires me.
I really enjoyed reading your blog in the link you gave. You write in a very easy to relate to style that is quite enjoyable. Congratulations and good luck next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Good things are happening! I'm so happy for your successes. Thank you for providing the link to your article. I really enjoyed reading it. You have a wonderful way with words.
Congratulations, Naomi! I'm so happy for you. I read your article and enjoyed it very much; you have a conversational writing style which I like. Good luck with the writing job.
You're a very good writer (in addition to being a very good photographer). Big ups for getting published and I'm happy to hear about these great possibilities!
Concentrating for 3 hours is, in itself, a real accomplishment. Being published is yet another. Your picture puts the focus on your triumph in a unique way. Thoroughly enjoyed your write-up. As others have said, you're a wonderful writer.
@kali66@blueace@tskipper@milaniet@janetb@slash@hjbenson@stray_shooter@salza@susale@kjarn@lyndemc Thank you all so much. Funnily enough, English was one of my worst subjects in school so I'm still very under-confident when it comes to writing, but HuffPo picked my blog up around May 2014, and I've been blogging for them ever since (it's unpaid but nice exposure). Once one of my Blurt blogs got picked up by them, and when they found out it was me who wrote it they were very complimentary about my writing in general! They were also lovely when Mum died - they sent me a really kind email and put my blog at the top of their front page blogs for a few days. I haven't submitted one since October until this week, so it was nice to get one out there again :)
