Wedding Rings by natsnell

Wedding Rings

On our first wedding anniversary Fiz (@fiz) and I decided to get new rings and have done so each year thereafter. These are rings number 14.

I made these two rings from a 2 pence and 5 pence coin. The date of issue of the coins is 1976 which is the year in which both Fiz and I were born.

The coins are from a sterling silver set to commemorate the Isle of Man new coinage issue of 1976.

The centre of the two coins were cut out then folded over to make a band. The inside of the bands reads ISLE OF MAN TWO PENCE / FIVE PENCE and the outside reads ELIZABETH THE SECOND 1976.

These are wonderful Nat. I thought last years rings looked difficult to make but these have blown me away.

Wonderful work, Nat - rings and photo. Your custom reminds me of the old Handfasting ceremony, which is repeated on an annual basis. A very happy anniversary to you both.

(Lester and I got married the year you and Fiz were born.)
