Cawsand is a tiny village on the Plymouth Sound, UK, on the Cornish, South Coast. This is the village where these activities take place each year. The teams really try to get the costumes well matched - there is a little competition on the day for the best dressed team (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and the same for the best dressed individual and youth. So the fancy dress is of a high standard. Here, sending up the village name, we see one of the teams dressed as the "Kawsand Keystone Kops". They were a really fun bunch and despite the cold took time to pose for me in their characters.
You are seeing a series of fillers taken at a New Year charity swim in the sea - Cornwall, UK. Air temp is about 4 degrees, water temperature about the same! This is an annual event. The photos are taken from different years.
I am sorry I am unable to comment on your photos for a few days. I am not well. I have been ordered to stay in bed. However, things are improving. Thank you all for your good will messages. It is much appreciated. I have been up and around a bit today. Definitely improving all round.
