This sculpture on a pole appears on the harbour side in Plymouth, Devon, UK. It is next to the lock gates for the harbour and if you are going to the National Aquarium from the old Town side you have to pass it. It is here on Google maps... http://g.co/maps/tuusx
The National Marine Aquarium is a short distance away with a big green glass frontage - you can see it on the Google maps street pictures. Here is the website for it... http://www.national-aquarium.co.uk/
The Plymouth Barbican Theatre is behind me when I took this shot... http://www.barbicantheatre.co.uk/
I had to wait nearly 20 minutes to get a seagull in the right position for this shot! This mythical creature certainly caught me!

sometimes i wish you'd leave a small caption giving us an idea where and what this thingamajiggsky is. i see that the gull is ignoring the sculpture. but i like the colours and whatever this thing represents (at least in my mind), and it takes a fast hand and shutter to capture that damn bird, which in this shot looks lovely. once again, great keen eyes, damon.
