Cool shot, it looks like it's floating! Your tutorials are great!
September 19th, 2012
Cool! Great high key, of course, and I think the touch of colour running along the torch finishes it off nicely.
September 19th, 2012
fabulous detail and love the white background
September 19th, 2012
Ah yes, the torch vs. flashlight debate! I really like this shot. This is something I will read up on (even though I don't have a completely white wall in my home- I do have a marble top table that I can turn white with processing!).
September 19th, 2012
Very cool tutorial and a great shot of a torch...isn't it funny how we all speak the same language, yet have different names for common objects!
September 19th, 2012

@hjbenson - you are very welcome. Enjoy!
September 20th, 2012
@dulciknit - glad you noticed. Yes, well observed. I think it defines this shot. It is a reflection from the wooden frame from which the torch and my flash units are suspended. I liked that colour so left it in. Normally I would have masked the frame or taken the shot differently - but it worked here.

Love shots like this. Wish I had the time to try new things. Maybe one day...

Nice shot to illustrate a nice article. I once spent a summer assisted a photographer in photographing motorcycle parts for a catalog. This was what we used for the background in all the shots.
