The highlight on the dome of Tony's forehead looks a little blown - but who am I to criticise since I haven't got a clue how to light for portraiture! It's illuminating his face wonderfully, though, and his expression is very engaging.
I do enjoy your portraits - they're about people's personalities, not just how they look.
@dulciknit - You are absolutely right about that little highlight. But I did not think it distracting enough to remove. This shot was almost SOOC. So, I thought I would leave well alone.
Tony is a great subject for portraits. I have done several of him now. His face shows so much character.
@netkonnexion It's not distracting, of course, and I could easily have missed it but I do like to look at images as closely as possible for practice and learning.
Great lighting which sculptures the face and it evokes emotion. I'm not an expert but I was told once that the nose shouldn't protrude beyond the cheek. But rules can always be broken to make a stunning photo. Well done.
