Identify This! No. 61

You can see a rivet in the foreground of todays object. But what is the complete object in which it is fixed? Have fun!
More about "Identify This"... http://365project.org/netkonnexion/number03/2011-05-11

Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterdays picture was pretty easy most people worked out. It was of course a recyclable bottle top from a fizzy water bottle. I would accept something simular to that or a soda pop bottle for the funny people on the other side of the pond! Well done everyone who got it right.
Honorable mentions to...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rick Schies - Looks like a simple bowl. Net says:-->> Sorry wrong way up! LOL.

MaryBeth Dailey - screw cap for a Dasani water bottle :0) Net says:-->> Could well be. I don't know the brand. But you do get tonights "Accuracy Award" yayyyyaaaaha! LOL

Mike Gifford - Salad straining bowl to drain the water off...??? Net says:-->> Most peculiar inside of a bowl I have ever seen. Never mind... Wrong! LOL.

Paula Brumbe - a plastic bottle top which is not actually recyclable. Net says:-->> Wrong... its totally recyclable! LOL... but right for a bottle top. Yaha!

Sue Wilde - It just could possibly be a connector ring thing that screws a garden hose to a tap. Net says:-->> Completely wrong! But you do get a "Doohicky Award!" Yayayaha!!!

Lisabell - I’m guessing it’s the plastic cap off of a bottle of some horrendous tasting medication. Net says:-->> Nope! Just plain old water! LOL>...

Howard N - This is a lot easier than the stem caster... The upper half of the image has an inside thread, the bottom half, the outer surface is knurled for traction. Net says:-->> Cool effort... but I just did not go with the wholefoods waffle bit that came next. LOL. So, you get tonights "Mega Waffle Award!" Yeeeeha!

scooter - Ok after reading the others.....a pop cap......I messed up again. Net says:-->> Wow! Right twice in one sentence. Thats gotta be a record. LOL...

Vanessa Walters - I will be specific this time and say a Sprite or 7 up pop lid. Net says:-->> Nope! But I will give it because you got the "top part". Lovely. Yaha!

Paula Cook-Farkas - The twist off bottle cap to your favorite frosty beverage. Net says:-->> No, they don't do twist off tops for Champagne! LOL. its just plain water.

The Poop Guy - screw top off washing detergent. Net says:-->> I guess that some sort of cleaning fluid would be on your mind a lot! A top will do. You got it.

Thanks for your ideas - nice ones. I hope you had fun today too.

Up and around today. Going to get back to work tomorrow. I work from home so I can retire to bed if I am having a problem. But hopefully I will be well. Thanks for all the support while I have been laid up.

See you tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Lobster pot lid?

This is Paula calling the kettle silver, not to be confused with the pot calling the kettle black. Because there is a difference...

Oh, and thanks for my Accuracy Award. I have been accused of that little character trait before! Ha! I say "Dasani" because they have a "green water" bottle out now...they brag that most of the plastic from it is actually plant material. They put a green cap just like that on it. :0)

and on second glimpse of the above pic, I know it is not, but it reminds me of a very silvery, stylized high heel Cinderella shoe. Is that accurate enough?

A pot lid! A silver pot lid!
July 11th, 2011
@lisjam1 I agree ! :)
July 11th, 2011
I'm pretty sure I've got this, even without looking at other people's posts. I believe it's a lid to an aluminum cooking pot. Or a stainless steel cooking pot. But definitely a cooking pot - silver in color.
July 11th, 2011
Yes, I am riding on the backs of some, but it is a stainless steel lid from a pt.

Handle to a glass pots and pan cover.

Handle rivet for a pot lid??
July 11th, 2011
I was going to say it was some sort of stainless steel, medievil shield lying face down, probably after some jousting episode shere Sir Knight was removed from his mount, but thought better, and decided it was a stainless pot lid.

A handle on a lid. :)
July 11th, 2011
I will do a literary device for my answer, but will make you identify which one. "pot top"
