John Ford Point

Hollywood provides a source of income for the park as its iconic sites form the background to many movies. Director John Ford use it for many films, including Stagecoach (1939), My Darling Clementine (1946), Fort Apache (1948) and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949). After him, Monument Valley remains an iconic setting for western films.
