Pushing my camera to the limit at ISO 6400... yeah, i know it's a mess... but the sun goes down early these days and how on earth am i going to shoot street if i can't do it at night?
so i am curious as to what the protocol for this type of shooting is...
view large to get a full sense of this image's craptastic glory ;p
Incidentally, i've noticed a number of 365-ers end their year with a slide show set to music which got me wondering what music i would choose... and sad to say, the first song that came to my mind, and that i cannot eject, is the old Miami Vice song...
edited to tag for the Street Photography Now challenge... this week it's: "Find an ambiguity that lies just below the surface" originally set by Jesse Marlow
Was it raining? I think that the grain in this shot really adds a sense or eeriness when combined with BW... you have a great eye for that. Lol @ Miami Vice! That made me laugh. I did a slide show (not all my shots cos that was just going to take way too long cos I wasn't prepared as I wasn't originally going to do it that way)... the song came about after hubby suggested perhaps one of Pete Murray's songs. He knows Pete and I go way back ;) lol
@ozziehoffy no rain... but the air was heavy - a bit misty but not hugely so.... yeah... yours was the most recent slide show that had me thinking.... and then WHAM... miami vice.... bwa haaaa haaaaaaaaa!!!!
@northy I think it works very well for how you've processed this shot :) ahhhh lol... like I said, I wasn't going to do one, but then when I tried collage, it just took away from the shots ... they felt flat, so I wanted to showcase them better. So love your Miami Vice idea ;)
It has a certain snowy quality ;o) Count yourself lucky you can get these type of shots, my camera only goes to 800 ISO so I could never, ever achieve this! xx
@ozziehoffy Melody hates it because David Caruso is so wooden, which is exactly why my daughter and I love Horatio. Sorry @northy for taking over your page
@peterdegraaff lol he is!! His head is in a permanent tilt to the side!! Tell Melody I agree lol. I find him hard to watch cos I keep noticing that about him.
I am not sure I like the noise in the shot as others do. What has been your experience with Noise Reduction in your editor in such large areas? If you want the noise out, I think it your only option if you have motion in the shot. The figure walking...
I like the song choice for your work; well suited :)
Now I'm off to listen to Miami vice, that was a long time ago.
