Proof of my insanity... i got up 45 minutes earlier than i needed to on the off-chance that a fog had rolled in (it had)... but as my husband is out of town (again), and the kids were still asleep, i couldn't really go anywhere... so this is taken from my front yard...
It's a long exposure at ISO 100 - so no noise ;p I did get a few more shots with people in them, but had to bump up to ISO 6400 again, and even with noise reduction in post processing, it was over the top pixelated... i need to figure this out!
Thank you so much for looking and commenting on yesterday's bit of noise... :)
This is magical. Fav. I am in love with this photo.
I had to drive to Kitchener today and I was late and all I could do was stare out the window at the fog I couldn't stop to photograph.
Great fog shot. So much better without the high ISO noise. Favorite.
Long exposure also have their noise problems, but I don't notice anything here at this resolution.
I have had some success with the noise suppression of my camera itself turned up to max, both high ISO and long exposure. Incidentally, both cut down the RAW file size significantly, the sensor array not striving to find detail when there is none.
really like this a lot. faved! We had some insane fog this morning for my commute to work, so I was late (had to pull off the road to keep from getting rear ended by some idiot and lo and behold saw the perfect shot and was glad I had my camera, so that jerk turned out to be a blessing in disguise - you'll see it later when I get home later this evening)
@edie oh i so know what you mean... can't tell you how many luscious sunsets i've seen while driving the kids somewhere and nothing i could do about it!
Ohhh, love the feel to this one! I'm such in a rush to get to work in the morning I never have time to get these great fog shots. Need to win the lottery!
