taken at city hall this morning... the shoes didn't appear to belong to anyone and seemed forlornly random...
(and now i have to admit that i did some editing on this shot... there was a gap between the seat of the bench and the supports that was making my eye crazy, so i filled it in...)
@redpants What a wonderful interpretation!
I love the simplicity of the image. I was thinking more along the lines of someone taking a break at lunch and when they changed back to their work shoes, they left their walking shoes behind.
Love the randomness to this. Makes me think the owner of the shoes mighta' gone for a dip. In addition to the great randomness to this, I LOVE the lines of the bench against the lines of the water.
@riverlandphotos@amandal i do not know what size they were... typical men's size i would guess? NOT my size for sure ;p
@sunshinephoto5 nope! altho' i have been known to do that, i didn't here... the nex has a flip out screen which makes this kind of thing a piece of cake...
@frankhymus i think it's something of a fine line... street generally seems thought to be akin to photojournalism and in photojournalism one is not supposed to alter the scene... certainly there are degrees of "alteratiol", and one could question whether this is technically a street shot or veering more into something else...
