btw... thank you all who commented (and even fav'd!!) my bathroom shot from yesterday... it wasn't a particularly brave shot as (trust me) no one ever uses those bathrooms... but i did want some practice so that if i ever venture into bathrooms where more chutzpah is required at least i'll know exactly what to do... still mulling over whether this is worth pursuing... i know it isn't pretty, but then, pretty doesn't do much for me...
For me, the texture on the left really adds a lot. It's kind of a quilted blanket effect to soften the otherwise strong lines and cold feeling (though, I wonder if it would have a hot feeling, if I viewed this in August?).
Yes, I see what @johnl means - there is a softness, particularly in the near corner. Perhaps it looks like the padding in a cell... :D
Thought of you, @janim as soon as I saw this and saw northy's remark about having hit a wall. There's definitely a lot to be got out of walls, angles, and so on :)
Lovely graphical image. There is more detail here than one first assumes. The tiles/blocks are different sizes and the angle makes them look like diamonds. Nice. :)
Your calendar is full of beautiful black and white or subdued coloured shots, especially for the last few months. My challenge to you is to do a monochrome image but in one colour of your choice, not edited to be monochrome but a scene/set-up that is monochrome to begin with.
How does that sound to you? Let me know if you need something different.
@obmcreations okidokie... colour.... but only one colour... and not photoshopped... intriguing... i will see what i can come up with... tx for such an interesting challenge!
