@mcsiegle challenged me to shoot something along the theme of "pioneer spirit"... i was going to aim for something a little more esoterical, but in the end succumbed to the literal...

this was taken at Montgomery's Inn Museum... which is only a few blocks away from where i live... it was built in the 1830s by Thomas Montgomery, an Irish immigrant...

I love this shot. It is, as I said about the hallway shot, so quintessentially you. The dark, shadowed areas around the window really suggest a pre-electric pioneer (in that classic historical sense of the word) world. Mission accomplished.
