@mcsiegle challenged me to shoot something along the theme of "pioneer spirit"... i was going to aim for something a little more esoterical, but in the end succumbed to the literal...

this was taken at Montgomery's Inn Museum... which is only a few blocks away from where i live... it was built in the 1830s by Thomas Montgomery, an Irish immigrant...

Looks like a neat place to visit. I owe you $7 entrance to the museum for giving you that challenge! :-) I followed the link you put above. Interesting. I have Montgomery ancestors from roughly that same area in Northern Ireland. Great photo -- quintessentially "Northy." My favorite is the kitchen, though.
