This nest is on the bank of the river Leen in Highbury Vale. It is in an area easily accessible by people & dogs. As I was taking this shot a man who was walking his dog spoke to me and said was keeping an eye on the swans to make sure they came to no harm.
@gilbertwood Thank you Denise, the swans were around this stretch of the river for a few weeks so they must have been looking for a place to build the nest. People seem to keep to the nearby footpath rather than go onto the river bank. I think they will soon see off anyone who came too near
