Earlier this part of the small park was dug out, it took months to do the work as the contractors worked intermittently, eventually two seat were put overlooking the pond and the public were allowed back. The ponds are connected to the river Leen and to help to prevent flooding of the local buildings. Today I saw an information board had been erected but was interested to see it was now being called water meadows.
