“All Saints” Church Siddington, Cheshire was Consecrated in 1521. Originally timbered framed with wattle and daub infilling. About 200 years ago the walls were incased in brickwork to help support the heavy stone roof. The nave and outside west wall were later painted to resemble the many timbers that remain underneath. A small section of plaster and brickwork were removed to check the condition of the encased timber some original wooden moldings were discovered.
