Eyam Hall by oldjosh

Eyam Hall

Today my friend and I visited Eyam Hall, we had coffee and lunch in the courtyard cafe.
Thomas Wright built the house for his son John in 1671. John was to marry Elizabeth Kniveton, a local heiress. Generations of the Wright family have lived there ever since. The house has been extended and the layout inside the house altered to accommodate the needs of successive generations. There is furniture, furnishings and household items dating from the time the house was built until recent times.
It is leased to the National Trust and the family live in a house across the road but often visit the hall.
Looks an amazing place :)
